Our Journey
Spear International (Pvt) Ltd, the flagship company of the Spear Global Holdings group, was established in 2011 by a dynamic team led by Mr. C.N.S Mendis, the former deputy chairman of the delmege group of companies. Mr. Mendis, with his extensive experience in the export of natural and organic products, laid the foundation for a company that today excels in the manufacture and export of coconut-based growing media and other coir and coconut-based products.
With a management and production team boasting over 20 years of experience, Spear International quickly became a significant player in the global market. The company's success in exporting growing media encouraged diversification into a wider range of coconut and coir-based products, as well as ornamental plants, foliage, and edible coconut food items.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Our manufacturing facilities, including our pressing and warehousing units, are located in the heart of Sri Lanka's coconut triangle. This strategic location, surrounded by some of the largest coconut plantations in the country, allows us to source the finest grades of raw materials effectively. Our most recent investment, completed in 2019, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of specialized coco products.
